Thank you to Dave and Jeff. I love the Race Toyota family. The dealership is clean and the staff is friendly from the second you walk in the door (say hi to Barb up front!). If you’re in the market for a new Toyota you can’t go wrong visiting Race Toyota in Lindsay.

They have signs on the door saying closed on Saturdays for the summer, but I didn't get warned of that by the staff, and I didn't see it on their website or the Google listing. So I was surprised when I was dropped off there to pick up my car on Saturday morning and could not get it. I had to get a very expensive taxi home again.

We’ve purchased multiple vehicles (Rav4, Tacoma, Corolla) from Race Toyota and have had our vehicles serviced at the dealership, this included a serious mechanical issue with our truck that was not under warranty. Our experience with sales (Jeff DeRusha) and service (Gerry Mitchell) has been awesome, even/especially when dealing with a difficult situation. I’ve always felt that the communication and timelines for service were great. Pricing was fair and transparent. It’s a good group of people at this dealership who know their product and are good to their costumers. I would highly recommend.

I bought my Toyota Camry at Vandemeer Toyota in Cobourg and received excellent service. But after taking it a couple of times, it was just too far away. So I switched to Lindsay, to Race toyota because it was closer. Logan at the front desk has always been extremely friendly and helpful. But everyone else that I dealt with, particularly the service manager was not very friendly or helpful. I was only taking it in for my regular service calls and then I had a problem with my air conditioning leaking into the passenger side floor. And the sales manager was very flat with me and at first trying to say maybe I left the windows open, which I knew I hadn’t. I waited for an hour and a half for them to tell me they couldn’t find a problem with it and I should just take it home . But it persisted and I had to insist after they didn’t do anything the first time. I brought it back and then they ended up finding out there was a problem with it, and the air con line was blocked and the problem was fixed. When I went to get into my car, the carpet was still soaking wet from the leak. I asked if they had a shop vac or something to dry it up for me, and he said no. He is very flat to talk to. My husband ended up looking at a Toyota Tacoma truck and buying one from them. I was suggesting maybe he go to Coburg because we already weren’t sure about the service at Race. But, the sales person, Tom was good with him. But Then after he bought it, the same thing with the service and he was waiting for parts and they were very bad at getting back to him and when I was in and would ask about it for him, the parts guy wasn’t friendly either. The only friendly person either of us really encountered was Logan. The last service I had there, I had a weird thing happen where my car was brought out front like it was done and then all of a sudden they told me they had to take it back in. To let some air out of the tires. No one could really explain to me What happened. I couldn’t figure out how they suddenly realize they had put too much air in my tires. But they were now taking the car back in as I was picking it up. And there was just no effort to explain or reassure me. So we just decided to take our business to sunrise Toyota in Orillia and we have been receiving much better service and we are much happier there. We have 2022 Toyota Camry and 2023 Toyota Camry. When it’s time to buy new vehicles, it certainly won’t be at Race toyota. We won’t be back.

I had a very disappointing experience when I came in for vehicle maintenance. The staff member asked me whether it was my first visit or my first maintenance. When I replied that it was my first time, his attitude toward me changed completely in a negative way. I ended up having to drive back to Yorkdale Toyota, where I had my initial service—not my first maintenance—and was treated with respect and professionalism. This dealership left a very poor impression. I have no intention of returning, nor will I recommend it to anyone in my new community in Lindsay, regardless of any deals they may offer.

I did a service for my vehicle Rav4 at Race Toyota. With the regular service, I paid extra for inspecting and replacing inoperative front left bulb(fog). After service, both the fog lights were not working. I found out after reaching home but unfortunately i couldn’t get back to service centre as I was having some important appointments. Also i emailed them regarding this complaint but i haven’t get any revert back from their side. I am extremely disappointed with the service at Race.

I visited Race Toyota and ended up leaving with a new to me 2016 4 runner limited. The sales process was flawless and had zero pressure. The financing process with Amanda was easy with great customer service. The detailing of the vehicle was also top-notch. The one hour walk-through with both Dave and Jeff was amazing. My new vehicle has so many features that I was unaware of, they both took the time and did a complete walk-through including hooking up my telephone, putting in my speed dial‘s, phonebook entries and setting up my navigation system. I also work at a dealership and I thought I was the king of customer service. I have passed my crown to Dave and his staff at Race Toyota. A class act that can’t be beat. Hope to do more repeat business. Thanks for everything. Rick & Jennifer Knoester.
